Good Gracious!

On Labor Day, we met up with my Aunt Karen who had watched Eamon all weekend. They both survived. We had a little picnic lunch at the park. Brandon kept himself occupied with the little statues of children playing. Of course, he found something to do with all of them. Hope he's humiliated....

Dancing Queen

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine (oh yeah)
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life (oh oh oh)
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

Sugar Rush

We went to Cameron's school carnival the other day, which was enjoyed by all. I was in charge of the jumping frog booth, which was a few lily pads on a tarp that the kids tried to throw frogs at. This was all fine and dandy till the next day when my thighs and rear were sore from all the bending over and picking up I did during that hour. Wow, I'm lazy.

The boys enjoyed their cotton candy. Almost too much, but I can't judge them. I ended up eating 3. There's no picture of that though. Yay Cotton Candy!!!

And on a Random Note....

And here's a picture of Eamon in a dress.

But, to keep it even, here's a picture of Cameron in a dress.

You think it's wierd that I put my boys in dresses? What? I can't hear you.....

Ferret Oh Ferret

I don't know if anyone watched the Ferret documentary on PBS recently, but it's a hoot. We watched about 10 minutes, and decided that we had to have another one. We love our Penny (Penelope Cruz), but we thought she'd enjoy having a friend besides Emma (Emmaline Harris, our dog). So last night, we were on a great Ferret Hunt. Took about 15 calls to find her. She has a little stubby notched ear, so Brandon thought we should call her Audible. Sounds like Maude & Mable and goes along with our tradition of naming pets old lady names....It just didn't jive though, so she is named Audrey Hepburn (the aud is for her ear, get it?) I didn't get a great shot of her little handicap, but here she is anyway.

She was filthy from the pet store, so she had a much needed bath.

She was super hyper on the way home, and had some fun romping around with Emma and Penny.

I think she was thrilled to go to sleep in the hammock.
She's mellowed out substantially today, though she still likes to play. I got her to fall asleep in my hands last night and today. SO CUTE!

Sweet Dreams are Made of This

Okay, I walked in my kitchen and saw this spider....Yuck Yuck Yuck
Of course I had to get my camera. I went to attempt to end its life (with a screwdriver. I was so scared, I didn't know what else to grab) and it went down the window sill and under my sink. ACK.
I started crying and freaking out, couldn't breathe. Later on, the kids were over in the area where I saw it and I froze. I was like, "No, Don't" but without any sound coming out. Like in a dream.

Want a close up???? I didn't.

So my Mom made the trek to my house and brought with her some fantastic spider spray and sprayed the entire innards and outards of my house. Except the north side yard, which I did myself. And I found a HUGE brown spider and a HUGE black widow living about 2 feet from eachother. I ran out of the sideyard crying and freaking out. I hate spiders. Crying and freaking out.

Thanks Mom.

Happy Belated Birthday Grandma Kerri!

Maybe you all are wondering what this super young lady is doing cuddling with my children, but she is their Grandma. We were finally able to get together to take her to Tepanyaki for her birthday, and the boys presented her with wonderful presents they picked out at the dollar store. You'd think she was living in poverty by the way she oohed and aahed over them. wink.
Oh, you are wondering how old she is?? Well I'll tell you....she is

Wii Love our Dog

So my brother Mike came over one night with another girl in the long line of girls in his life. We all played the Wii, probably Tennis. As I was off doing something, Emma decided to get in on the action. She's very good at it. Probably a pro!
But being as good as she is, and having to play with such dunces as ourselves, she was VERY bored.

First Day of School - Terrible Lighting

Is it bad that I didn't want him to wear this shirt he picked out, but upon hearing the voice of reason (Brandon) I gave in. I mean, don't you want to convey something about your child to the teacher the first day? Like, "I am awesome and my Mom dresses me so smoooooth, which in a way means she is so smooooth." Not, "my Dad listens to Megadeath and wears wifebeaters." He doesn't, by the way.
And for some reason, even though Cameron is excited by being in the classroom, I feel it kinda looks like a dungeon. Hmmm....
Oh, as we walked to the school, we saw his girlfriend from last year Jenny* (name has been changed to protect her from future embarrassment when she learns to google her name). She was like "HI CAMERON!" We all got in the line for 1st grade, and from ahead of us in the line, she kept staring at him. Staring. It was cute. She is cute.

But then the other day, one of the other 1st grade teachers, who is my YW president, came up to me on a hike to say, "Um, this is a wierd question, but would Cameron bring a knife to school?" If you know Cameron, this is highly unlikely. Anyway, seems that his girlfriend, Jenny*, writes little stories in her class about Cameron chasing her around the playground with a knife. Wow. So this teacher said to her, "These are made up stories right?" "No, he chased me around one day and stabbed me in the side and I had to get stitches."

I just asked him about it. He said he used to play Star Wars with her, and she was Padme and he was Anakin Skywalker. We all know that Anakin wouldn't touch Padme with a lightsaber....if you know what I mean...ahem. Anyway, he said that she chases him around at recess and he doesn't have time to play Star Wars anymore. So he's unaware of any knives. Geez. Such drama and he's only in first grade. Girls really are wierd.

He told me he has a different girlfriend anyway. Her name is Hailey and she lives Eagle Mountain. They're making that long distance relationship work! No names changed there.
